Expected to house 60 to 75 people in 14 homes, the project on Sammy Drive will be built over three years by new homeowners and volunteers, with families purchasing their homes through a zero-interest loan program. Sabrina Kirkland, Vice President of Development and Strategic Initiatives at Habitat NCG, highlighted the organization's mission to make homeownership more accessible for families within the 40-70 percent local area median income bracket, noting the wider benefits such as fostering pride, generational wealth, and community engagement.
