Meth, Coke, More Found In Barber Shop Drug Bust
Three people were arrested with methamphetamine, cocaine and other drugs during a raid of a Paulding County barber shop. Search warrants executed at Kingdom Kutz Barber Shop, at 3601 Macland Rd. in Hiram, were the result of a several-months-long investigation into the business for drugs and gun possession, authorities say.

The Bartow County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections May 3-10 at a number of establishments, including Adairsville High School and Buffalo's, the latter of which resulted in the discovery of "several food contact/prep areas that were in need of being cleaned and sanitized" as well a phone and portable speaker that were sitting on top of bread on a bread rack.
A Kroger store in Gwinnett County closed its doors on May 9 after nearly 30 years in business. The supermarket, at Highway 78 and Bethany Church Road in Snellville, was offering deep discounts to liquidate its inventory on its last day in business. Company officials announced last month that the store would be closing due to declining sales.
Charlie Daniels Band Kicks Off Woodstock Summer Concert Series
The city of Woodstock is gearing up for the first concert series that will be held at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater, and will offer a treat for those who still haven't figured out how they will get in and around the area. A large crowd is anticipated to see the Charlie Daniels Band kick off the 20th Annual Summer Concert Series on Friday, May 12, so the city has announced it will provide a free shuttle service for concert goers.
2 Arrested In Craigslist Slaying Outside Carrabba’s: Smyrna Police
Police in Smyrna on Wednesday arrested two suspects wanted in the slaying of a man outside a Carrabba’s restaurant, Patch has learned. The slaying, which occurred in broad daylight Monday during a meet-up to sell some shoes from a Craigslist ad outside the eatery in the 2900 block of Cumberland Boulevard, stunned the community.
