Hunters Find Human Skeletal Remains, Hall Sheriff Investigating

Investigators say they have good leads as to the identity of the deceased.

HALL COUNTY, GA β€” Authorities are investigating after a pair of hunters found human skeletal remains in the Flowery Branch area, according to a release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office got the call around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, the release says. Two deer hunters were on a property near the intersection of Trudy Drive and Lights Ferry Road.

They found the remains on the land and called 911.

Sheriff's office investigators responded. The release says although it's early in the investigation, they have good leads as to the identity of the deceased.

The remains have been transported to the GBI Crime Lab for further investigation.
