In Loving Memory of William "Gene" Evans, 75

William “Gene” Evans, age 75 of Wilcox County, formerly of Forsyth County, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur H. and Victoria Campbell Evans; 3 brothers, Randy Evans, W.K. Evans, Louie Evans; sister, Pauline Bailey; grandson, Little Lee Robertson and a granddaughter, Sandy Marie Evans.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Alice Evans; children, William Henry (Patricia) Evans, Kenneth Evans, Angela Evans (Samuel) Gunter, Fay Evans (B.J.) Robertson, Billy Gene (Tracy) Evans; several grandchildren; brother, Donald Evans; sisters, Rinta Weehunt, Dale Weehunt, Shirley Manders and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Emory Samples, Rev. Chris Kyle and Rev. Steven Kyle officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
