- The Forsyth County Fire Department responded to two house fires over the weekend. The first fire took place on Saturday, Apr. 15, in an upstairs bedroom of the house and resulted in one occupatant recieving minor first-degree burns. The second fire occurred on Sunday and was caused by the heat from a grill that caught a box of wood or charcoal used for the grill on fire. The fire burned part of the deck, charred and melted some of the backsides of the house, and destroyed the outdoor furniture. Residents of that house were able to catch the fire and called officials before it spread to inside of the home. (Forsyth County News)
