The future of Cumming is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Maverick Roan, who are making a positive impact in and around Cumming.

Maverick, a student at Forsyth Central High School, was one of just 75 students chosen from 1,550 applicants to participate in the 24-25 Student Advisory Council by State Superintendent Richard Woods. The council members will offer student feedback on the impact of state policies in the classroom and other education-related matters.

Forsyth Central High School shared their pride on Instagram, stating, "We are so proud to have Maverick represent the C-House and students of Forsyth County! #chouse #heartofforsyth."
