Officials from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department responded to a gas leak around noon on Wednesday at the intersection of Old Atlanta Road and Sharon Road in Cumming, near South Forsyth Middle School.

The gas company has been notified of the leak and is responding to the incident, according to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. A school resource officer is at South Forsyth Middle School working with school officials to ensure the students are safe.
