One Killed in Boat Crash on Lake Lanier
Second person injured. Officials are investigating the single-boat crash Sunday night.
A Lake Lanier boat accident Sunday evening has left one person dead and another person injured.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources tells reporters only one boat was involved in the accident that occurred around 9 p.m. Sunday in the area of Browns Bridge Road, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The capsized boat was reported to be a 36-foot cabin cruiser, according to Forsyth County News. Authorities say the boat was visible from north of Brown’s Bridge.

One person’s body was recovered from the lake, WSB TV reports.
The second person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital by Forsyth responders, according to Forsyth County News.
