Forsyth County residents can express their hopes for the future recreation center by attending community input meetings or taking a survey.
CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County residents are invited to share their feedback on proposed plans for a recreation center at Matt Community Park during two drop-in style community input meetings in early September.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sawnee Mountain Park Community Building (3995 Watson Road), and the second will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Coal Mountain Park Community Building (3560 Settingdown Road).
Community members can also highlight the proposed components of interest to them by taking an online survey that can be found here. The survey should take less than 5 minutes.

Matt Community Park is located at 6555 Wallace Tatum Road. It currently has four synthetic-turf rectangular fields, a playground, three pavilions, restrooms, a multi-use trail and six lighted tennis courts, a news release from Forsyth Parks & Recreation said.
The recreation center master plan design is being funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST VIII) – a one percent voter-approved sales and use tax in Forsyth County – and by impact fees, the news release said.
