Cumming, GA -- Frightening rumors that claimed some North Forsyth High School students were going to bring knives and guns to school on Monday were quelled when “no incidents of concern or arrests” occurred on campus, the school’s principal said.

“Again, there has been no threat made to the school,” Principal Jeff Cheney announced on the school’s Facebook page Monday. “Contrary to additional rumors, there were no incidents of concern or arrests made today.”

Cheney wrote Saturday that the rumors stemmed from ”an isolated conflict between a small number of students” that had been handled by school administrators and sheriff’s deputies.

Cheney said Monday that he hoped parents would encourage students to report any safety concerns directly to school administrators instead of spreading rumors on social media.
