Saturday is Free Spay Day for Cats

The Humane Society of Forsyth County is sponsoring a free spay day for cats on Saturday.

More than six million animals a year are euthanized in shelters across the nation for lack of available homes, according to the Humane Society of the United States. That's why it's important to have your dog or cat spayed or neutered at the appropriate age.

In honor of World Spay Day on Tuesday, Feb. 28, the (HSFC) partners with Dr. Tracey Land of in Cumming for a free spay day for cats on Saturday, Feb. 25.

To be eligible there are some simple requirements that need to be met including proof of financial need:

  • Welfare
  • Food stamps
  • Disability
  • Unemployment
