School Holds Bone Marrow Registry in Honor of 4 Cumming Residents
Otwell Middle School will hold the event in memory of four faculty members who lost their lives to blood cancer.

Otwell Middle School in Cumming has suffered more than one loss from blood cancer.
After losing the lives of four faculty members to the disease, the school has teamed up with Sharing Americaβs Marrow to invite the community to join the bone marrow registry and potentially save the life of a patient fighting blood cancer.
Sharing Americaβs Marrow is a grassroots movement to register 50,000 donors in 2015. The campaign aims to educate the public on the importance of registration and correct any myths about bone marrow donation.

To register, stop by the cafeteria at Otwell Middle School on Feb. 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. Potential donors must be between the ages of 18 and 55, in general good health and willing to donate to any patient in need.
