If you’re out at the store Friday before the predicted winter storm hits Cumming, today would be the day to pick up some extra treats or toys for your beloved pet as it’s National Love Your Pet Day.

And since Forsyth County Public Schools have canceled all after school activities, maybe today would be a good day to go home, shut out the winter cold, and spend some quality time with your furry best friends.

National Love Your Pet day is the “unofficial” national holiday set aside to give your pets some extra attention and pampering, and most households in the United States have at least one pet, according to NationalCalendar.com.
