βThe Board of Commissioners has identified the southeast portion of the county as needing additional design standards to help maintain high quality residential development,β said Deputy Director of Planning and Community Development Vanessa Bernstein-Goldman. βWe are looking forward to meeting with stakeholders to get their feedback.β
The board also identified the need for placemaking options for the southeast Forsyth County area.
Strategies are currently being considered as part of this project initiative to help inspire residents,
developers, and other interested parties in an effort to enhance a sense of shared identity through a variety of grass-roots approaches.
County staff and project design consultants will be available during the open house to answer questions and provide feedback to attendees.
