State of the Community Address Thursday

Chamber and Council for Quality Growth host 7th Annual State of the Community Address Thursday, May 3.

Forsyth County residents wanting the latest scoop on what’s ahead for the community should mark their calendars to attend this year’s State of the Community Address.

The event, jointly hosted by the and the Council for Quality Growth, will be held Thursday, May 3 at the , located at 7745 Majors Road in Cumming, according to a Chamber news release.

Guest speakers include, Forsyth County Commission Chairman Jim Boff, Forsyth County Schools Board Chairman Tom Cleveland and Cumming Mayor H. Ford Gravitt.

Forsyth County certainly has a lot to be proud of; there are so many positive things taking place every day not only in the county government but throughout our entire community, said Boff.

"I am looking forward to the annual State of the Community event, and having the opportunity to share information about some of the county’s recent accomplishments, as well as projects that are on the horizon," he said.

Historically this has been a sell-out event and registration is required to attend, according to organizers.

The annual event, sponsored by , will begin at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $45 for Chamber members, $65 for non-members and $425 for a table of 10. Lunch provided by Chef Kern.
