- A Cumming woman is growing thousands of sunflowers to raise money for the Forsyth County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. The nonprofit trains volunteers to help advocate for children in the juvenile justice system. Donations can be made in the box in front of the sunflower patch on Jot Em Down Road or online. - Forsyth County has named a new Director of Water and Sewer. Scott Adams will join the department with 29 years of previous experience in consulting engineering for water and wastewater infrastructure. He has worked with Forsyth County as a consultant for nearly 30 years. (Forsyth County Georgia Government via Facebook)
- Forsyth County kids are invited to send in an audition video for Halcyon's Got Talent. The competition begins in July and will be the fourth year it has invited local kids to showcase their talents. Audition videos are due tomorrow, Jun. 24. (Forsyth County News via Instagram)
- A Cumming taqueria has been acquired by Rreal Tacos. A representative for the company says the acquired restaurant, Cheeky Taqueria, will not close during the transition to the new brand, which is expected to debut in July. Rreal Tacos says it will train the existing Cheeky Taqueria team to operate the restaurant. (What Now Atlanta)
