- In the near future, certain residents of Forsyth County will be notified via letter about their involvement as victims of a presumed ransomware attack. The county recently detected and thwarted an unauthorized third-party's attempt to compromise a section of its computer network, suspected to be a ransomware attack. Affected residents who receive a letter are encouraged to follow the instructions on the letter and contact the numbers provided with any questions. (NewsBreak)
- If you're searching for Fourth of July plans, look no further — Cumming Fairgrounds will host its July 4th Celebration with food, a kids zone, vendors, live music, and fireworks on Tuesday, Jul. 4. The event will take place from 4:00-10:00 p.m., and admission is free to the public. (Cumming Fairgrounds via Facebook)
- Real estate team Willis Group, of Keller Williams Realty Community Partners, recently opened the doors to its new office at the Cumming City Center. The group previously worked on Canton Road before moving to accommodate its growing team. (Forsyth County News)
- Cumming City Center recently welcomed new pizza parlor SliceAbility, a restaurant with a goal of hiring people with disabilities. Sliceability now employs 48 people with disabilities after being open for two weeks, and is known for being a spot that offers opportunity and lots of smiles. (WSB-TV)

- In case you forgot, Forsyth County Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees this summer through Wednesday, Sep. 6. Adoption fees go towards microchipping, spaying, neutering, and age-appropriate vaccinations. You can visit the shelter Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (WSB-TV)
