Traffic Alert Update: GA 400 Cleared After Car Drove Off Road into Lake Lanier
Traffic has been cleared in both directions in the area following the accident.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Georgia State Route 400 has been reopened after a car drove off the road and into Lake Lanier earlier Friday.
A woman and her dog were inside the car, according to WSB TV. The woman has been taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and the dog was taken to a local vet.

Traffic on Georgia State Route 400 is delayed in both directions after a car went off a bridge and into Lake Lanier.

The accident happened between exit 15 and 16, Bald Ridge and Pilgrim Mill Roads, of the highway, according to a post on the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
The car reportedly went off the northbound side of the road, but both sides are experiencing delays. Officials say drivers should avoid Route 400 at this time.
The car is in the water but not submerged or sinking, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Officials have not released information on how many people were in the car or if there are any injuries.
