UPDATE: Gas Leak Causes Traffic, Road Closure Up to 5 Hours

Melody Mizer Lane in Cumming is closed from Old Atlanta Road to Daves Creek Elementary, according to a second Facebook post from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

The school’s parking lot will only be accessible from Windermere Parkway.

Commuters, avoid driving near the area of Old Atlanta Road and Melody Mizer Lane in Cumming if you can.

Deputies and Firefighters are on scene, directing traffic, after a gas main broke at the intersection, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Facebook.

The gas company has been notified and is responding to the scene to fix the pipe.
