- Forsyth County seniors visited the Georgia State Capitol for its annual Senior Day to meet with legislators and discuss important topics affecting senior citizens. The event was hosted by the Coalition of Advocates for Georgia's Elderly (CO-AGE) as a part of the Georgia State Capitol's Annual Senior Day. During the visit, topics discussed included increasing state funding for at-home services, Medicaid usage prohibitions, and the creation of a voluntary savings program for workers. - Top KNOTch Boutique is the first store to open in the Cumming City Center, holding its grand-opening celebration on Saturday. Owner Amanda Neighbors stated that her dream of owning an online boutique has developed into something greater than she could have imagined with the new brick-and-mortar location. Top KNOTch is the first business to open in the City Center, but several others have announced that they are starting to hire. (NewsBreak Original)
- American Original Elephant Ears is making its way to Macon's 41st Annual Cherry Blossom Festival. American Elephant Ears have traveled to Cumming in the past, and this will be its first year as a vendor at the festival. Elephant ears are a sweet treat made from homemade yeast dough and fried using peanut oil, similar to other popular fair foods like funnel cakes.(13WMAZ.com)

- Meet the Humane Society of Forsyth County's most recent Dog of the Day, Queenie! Queenie is a brindle and white boxer/bulldog mix and is very adorable.
