Cumming Trunk-or-Treat To Focus on Safety Oct. 26
Forsyth County's fourth-annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event happens at Coal Mountain Park.

The whole family will have fun while learning how to stay safe this Halloween during the fourth-annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event, sponsoredΒ by Forsyth County government.
Set forΒ Coal Mountain Park, 3560 Settingdown Road in Cumming, on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., admission is one bag of candy per family. Β
Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the family-friendly Trunk or Treat, which will feature a haunted maze, bean bag toss, face painting, clowns and other fun activities and games. There alsoΒ will be information on costume safety, pedestrian safety, stranger danger, Stop-Drop-Roll demonstrations and more. Β

βTrunk or Treat is a fun event, but is also an opportunity to share with families important safety information surrounding Halloween activities,β Forsyth Fire Chief Danny Bowman said in the news release. βForsyth Countyβs public safety personnel pride themselves on providing engaging ways to promote safety to our communityβs youth.βΒ Β Β Β Β
While safety remains the focus of the event, the Forsyth County Fire Department is also inviting local businesses and non-profit organizations to participate.Β

Those desiring to participate must sign up by Friday, Oct. 4. There are two ways to participateβby having a trunk, where candy is handed out to children from the decorated trunk of a vehicle, or by having a booth, where a free interactive activity or giveaway is available for children in attendance.Β
