Woman Injured in Single-Vehicle Wreck
Forsyth County fire officials say they woman needed to be extricated from her truck, which was upside down and against a tree.

CUMMING, GA -- A woman is being treated for moderate injuries at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center after she lost control of her truck and hit a tree, Forsyth County fire officials said Monday afternoon.
The woman was driving a small pickup truck on Westbrook Road between Jot Em Down Road and Dawsonville Highway at approximately 10 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle, Chief Jason Shivers told Patch. The pickup left the roadway, hit a tree, and came to a rest upside down against the same tree.

Shivers said fire crews spent 25 minutes extricating the woman, who was trapped in the truck.
“We also want to commend the Forsyth County Fire Department for their quick work in rescuing the patient that was entrapped in this vehicle,” the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook Monday morning.
