Here are the top four stories in Dacula today:

  1. A Gwinnett County man stands accused of stabbing his 4-year-old nephew. Officers were called in early Sunday morning to the Lawrenceville residence. 19-year-old Anatolii Balesta has been charged with aggravated assault and child cruelty in the first degree. The four-year-old suffered stab wounds to the stomach but is currently in stable condition. (WSBTV)
  2. Besides being a great place to live, Dacula is a wonderful place to work! Companies throughout the area are hiring for a wide range of jobs. Full-time and part-time positions are available, so you can have the flexibility you need. Available positions include Dispatch Communicator, Administrative Assistant, and Inside Sales Consultant.   3. Gwinnett cross-country runners have been enjoying a banner season so far. At the Apple Hawkins Invitational on Saturday, students from Duluth, Dacula, and Archer ran spectacular races and earned high marks. Gwinnett County runners on both the boys and girls teams managed to hold their own against tough competition. The search for a missing Gwinnett County boy continues, and police are asking the public for any information that could help locate him. 13-year-old Sean Joel Ayling went missing on Sep. 21 from 2635 Pleasant Hill Road. According to officials, the young teenager has autism and ADHD. Anyone who may have seen Ayling should contact authorities immediately. (Patch)
