Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

  1. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Gwinnett County over the weekend. According to the agency, low relative humidity and dry fuel presented a fire danger in Gwinnett County. The agency recommends that county residents continue take extreme caution while outdoor burning, as well as to check local fire ordinances. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners will be hosting an Executive Session on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss agenda items that are excluded from the Georgia Open Meetings Act. The Executive Session is open to the public until the meeting is called to order. (Gwinnett County)
  3. Gwinnett County is hosting a virtual Community Open House to discuss the 2050 Comprehensive Transportation Plan. The plan is updated every five years and is meant to ensure that the county makes the most informed decisions on transportation issues. The virtual Community Open House will be on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6:00 p.m. (City of Dacula)
