Boston Marathon: Gwinnett Handcyclist Finishes 10th
Ken Higgins finished the 26.2-mile race in 1 hour, 25 minutes, 1 second.

DACULA, GA — A Gwinnett County man finished in the top 10 in one of the Boston Marathon's non-running categories.
Ken Higgins, of Dacula, took tenth place in the male handcycle competition. He clocked in with a time of one hour, 25 minutes and one second.
The winner of the handcycle competition, Tom Davis of New York, finished in 58 minutes and 36 seconds.

Handcycling is one of four separate categories at the Boston Marathon. In addition to running, entrants may also compete in more traditional pushrim wheelchairs or in a race for visually impaired runners.
According to the Boston Globe, this year was the first time that the Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the marathon, formally recognized the winners in the handcycle category.
