Both Kroger stores in Dacula have teamed up with Lyft to provide rides to COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

DACULA, GA β Both Kroger stores in Dacula have teamed up with Lyft to provide rides to COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
Kroger Health has partnered with Lyft Healthcare to provide access to free and discounted rides to and from COVID-19 vaccine appointments. This partnership is part of Lyft's Vaccine Access Program and Kroger Health's continued efforts to vaccinate Americans.

COVID-19 vaccinations also are available at Kroger's Little Clinic location at 400 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Suwanee.
"One of the primary goals of our Zero Hunger | Zero Wastebold social impact plan to is to transform Kroger communities and improve health for millions of Americans by 2025," said Felix Turner, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger's Atlanta Division, which includes Georgia, Eastern Alabama and South Carolina, in a news release. "We are excited to offer this service to our customers as we help further vaccination efforts and support the communities we serve."
Kroger Health's partnership with Lyft Healthcare began on July 14 and will provide access to free and discounted rides to individuals in underserved communities across the nation, including those in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Washington D.C., Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Individuals who schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment at a participating Kroger Health pharmacy or The Little Clinic will receive a Lyft ride code with their appointment confirmation. The code will cover about $12 per ride to and from the appointment for both one and two dose vaccines.
"Access to reliable transportation represents a major barrier to care for millions of Americans across the country, especially for vulnerable communities," Lyft Vice President, Healthcare, Megan Callahan said in the news release. "We're proud to partner with Kroger Health to address transportation barriers that will support equitable vaccine access for those who need it most."
