Christmas Tree Lightings, Celebrations In Dacula, Gwinnett 2020

Christmas-tree lightings and other celebrations are slated for Dacula and throughout Gwinnett County this holiday season.

DACULA, GA — Pandemic or not, Dacula will celebrate the coming Christmas season with a scheduled tree lighting.

Dacula will hold its Christmas tree lighting on Monday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. at Dacula City Hall lawn, 442 Harbins Road. The event includes entertainment by the Gwinnett School of Dance, an appearance by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, and refreshments served by the Miss Dacula Pageant queens. Nov. 26

Nov. 28

Dec. 4

Norcross, SPARKLE! Christmas Tree Lighting, Thrasher Park, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Kicks off the Heart of Norcross Village Market, which lasts through Dec. 6. Includes carriage rides, concerts and marshmallow roasting. Call 770-448-2122 or visit the City of Norcross website for details.

Suwanee, Santapalooza: The Naughty or Nice Tour. Santa will tour Suwanee neighborhoods to collect letters to Santa from the children and canned food for the North Gwinnett Co-Op from the adults. Visit the City of Suwanee website for details.

Loganville, Groovy Christmas Parade, starting at Bay Creek Elementary School, 100 Homer Moon Dr., at 5:30 p.m. The parade will make its way down Lawrenceville Road and Main Street. After the parade, Santa will light the Christmas tree on the Loganville Town Green on Pecan Street. Dec. 6

Grayson, Grayson Community Park, 475 Grayson Parkway, starting at 2 p.m. In addition to a tree lighting after dark at 6 p.m., the event will feature a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses — and, for a small fee, an opportunity for kids to have their pictures taken with Santa. Dec. 12

Lawrenceville, Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, 185 Crogan St., Merry Little Christmas Experience & Fireworks Show, 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Includes Santa in his sleigh and live carolers and a drive-in movie.
