CNN Money Magazine Ranks Gwinnett Ninth in Job Prospects
Expansion of Mitsubishi in Suwanee and Primerica in Duluth cited as job generators.

CNN Money MagazineΒ has ranked Gwinnett County ninth on a nationalΒ βWhere the Jobs Areβ listΒ of the top 25 counties in the nation with promising employment prospects.Β
βWe are excited that Gwinnett County has been recognized as an excellent place to live and work with this national listing,β stated Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash, in a news release announcing Gwinnettβs rank.
βThis is a testament to our communityβs success in building a great place to live and work and then aggressively marketing ourselves to encourage jobs creation and business investment in Gwinnett.Β Congratulations to the many organizations and individuals who helped in this effort and to Partnership Gwinnett for bringing them together,β Nash said.

The listing cited recent expansions ofΒ Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & HeatingΒ in Suwanee andΒ Primerica, Inc.Β in Duluth as examples of job generators. Mitsubishi Electric celebrated the opening of its division headquarters in April 2013. Primerica opened the doors of its global headquarters in May.
The recent announcement thatΒ National DCPΒ will open a corporate office in the Duluth area in AugustΒ and create 125 full time administrative positions was also included in the magazineβs report.

The county was recognized for being a home to companies from Japan, Korea, China, and Germany, among others.
Gwinnettβs proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport also played a part in the countyβs ranking.
Counties included in the listing were selected based upon data from the U.S. Census and Onboard Informatics.
Columbia County, GA, was recognized as the No. 1 community followed by Rockwall County, TX, and Falls Church, VA, respectively.Β
