Coming Up: Household Hazardous Waste Collection In Gwinnett
Residents can drop off up to five containers of hazardous waste items.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Do you have a stockpile of hazardous items you just weren't sure how to dispose of? Look no further than the upcoming household hazardous waste collection event in Gwinnett County.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on on Feb. 20, according to a post from Gwinnett Water Resources and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful. Residents are invited to dispose of up to five containers of waste, which can include items like paint, aerosols, batteries and more.
The drop-off event will be held at 2405 Sugarloaf Pkwy. in Lawrenceville.

COVID-19 health and safety measure must be followed during the event, according to organizers. Attendees dropping off waste should stay in their cars at time, and they must keep windows up when in the unloading zone.
Certain health protection measures could slow collection and cause delays and backups, organizers said.
