Council Authorizes City to Advertise for Paving Project Bids

The following actions were taken during the Sept. 5 Dacula City Council meeting (information provided by Kay Partain, Dacula Director of Financial Services and Elections):

• The council authorized the City to advertise for construction bids for the Forestdale Drive, Oak Court and Cedar Court street paving project. Motion carried 4-0.
• The council authorized the City of Dacula to advertise for construction bids for Misty Court street paving project. Motion carried 4-0.
• The council authorized the City of Dacula to advertise for construction bids for West Drowning Creek Road culvert replacement project.  Motion carried 4-0.
  The council adopted a resolution to appoint Charlyne Fuller and Heather Coggins as Assistant Election Superintendents and Assistant Absentee Ballot Clerks for the 2013 Election.  Motion carried 4-0.
• A proposal for an agreement between the City of Dacula and Partnership Gwinnett Public Funding Entity died for lack of a second. No other motions.
• A decision on the Tanner Road scope of work between Harbins Road and Franklin Drive died for lack of a second. No other motions.
