Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:

  1. An armed individual was spotted walking through a parking lot following a Gwinnett County high school football game on Friday night. The incident occurred after Archer High School's home football game. Responding officers searched Brian Garfield Fort, 19, before seizing two handguns and a rifle. He has been charged by the Gwinnett County School Police Department with possessing a weapon on school property. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. The Gwinnett County Police Department had an increased presence at Brookwood High School after a threatening message was located on a bathroom wall on Monday. The message, which was shared on social media, had an accompanying bullet placed on a toilet. The department and school officials are investigating the incident. (The Georgia Sun)
  3. Gwinnett County is the only county in Georgia to offer Spanish ballots to voters. Local non-partisan, nonprofit GALEO is hoping that the ballots will increase the Latinx community's civic involvement. The organization is actively pushing for more Georgia counties to offer Spanish ballots to voters. The organization is also actively searching for translators. (11 Alive)
