Dacula Area Under Flash Flood Watch
Waves of heavy rain are expected this afternoon and evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are moving into the area and bringing with them the threat of flash flooding.
According to the National Weather Service, the greatest chance of rain comes as the final bell rings on the first day of school. Â
A flash flood watch has been issued for Gwinnett and surrounding counties, and is in effect through 8 a.m. Thursday.
