DACULA, GA β A Dacula family narrowly escaped a devastating house fire after seeing an orange glow under the kitchen door and evacuating. There were no injuries. A family of three adults, one child, and a dog were displaced.
Residents were displaced from their home after a fire caused heavy damage through the roof at the 2080 block of Fence Road, NE in Dacula. The people who lived there told firefighters that they βsaw an orange glow and smoke come from under the kitchen doorβ and immediately retreated out of the home.
When crews arrived, they found heavy fire and flames on the back left side of the house, where the kitchen is located. Fire officials believe that is where the fire originated. Multiple hose lines were quickly deployed as an aggressive fire attack ensued. Within thirty minutes, the crews had made a complete knock down on the fire.
