  1. The Gwinnett County grand jury indicted a Dacula man accused of killing a corrections officer. Yahya Ali Abdulkadir, 23, was indicted on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Abdulkadir was arrested in Lithonia and is being held without bond in the Gwinnett Jail. (CorrectionsOne)
  2. Americans for Prosperity (AFP), a conservative advocacy group, is calling to repeal Georgia's certificate of need (CON) law. State lawmakers have eased restrictions on these types of laws over the years. Restricting these laws would make it easier for providers to build new healthcare facilities or offer new medical services without proving the community needs them. AFP sites the unnecessary need for mediators to determine community needs and calls for more freedom in healthcare purchasing mandates. (Capitol-Beat.org)
  3. House hunters in the Dacula area are invited to check out five new properties for sale. This list includes a home with four beds and three baths for $346,900 and another with five beds and three baths for $469,785. (Dacula Patch)
