Man Who Shot Gwinnett DA Investigator In Dacula Charged: Police
The Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office investigator was shot Friday at the intersection of Auburn and Old Fountain roads.

DACULA, GA β A 27-year-old Auburn man has been arrested in connection with the drive-by shooting of an investigator for the Gwinnett County District Attorney's Office, police said Monday.
Gwinnett County Police said the investigator was shot shortly after 6 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Auburn and Old Fountain roads. After being shot, the investigator was able to drive to a nearby store and call officers for assistance. His injuries were not life threatening.
The accused shooter drove a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, which police said was impounded Sunday evening at an Auburn Valley Way home in Auburn.

Police identified the shooting suspect as Tyler Dewayne Moore. Police said Moore was waiting in front of the Gwinnett County Jail early Monday morning and was eventually charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes and second-degree criminal damage to property. He is currently in the Gwinnett jail.
"This investigation was a collaborative effort by a team of dedicated detectives, officers and personnel from the Gwinnett County District Attorneyβs Office, Barrow County Sheriffβs Office, Auburn Police Department and the Gwinnett County Sheriffβs Office. We thank them for their service to this criminal investigation," police said in a news release.
