- The Gwinnett County Police Department reported a deadly crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 85. The cause of the crash was road rage. The crash sent a car into a median concrete barrier before flipping several times. The driver of the vehicle was ejected during the crash. The identities of the individuals involved in the crash had not been released as of Wednesday evening. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- The U.S. National Weather Service warns of high fire danger conditions in Gwinnett County. The warning is due to relatively low humidity levels coupled with strong winds. County residents are asked to refer to local burn permitting authorities on outdoor burn restrictions. Please exercise extreme caution when burning outside. (Cobb County Courier)
- Dacula softball is ranked seventh in Class 7A as the playoffs begin. The GHSA playoffs started on Tuesday with a new double-elimination, mini-tournament system. The new system will determine which eight programs will advance to the state championships. Buford is ranked first in Class 7A. (Subscription: AJC.com)
