UPDATE: Owner of Stolen Ring Located

Police say the owner of a stolen Vietnam War ring has been identified. According to a Gwinnett County Police press release:

"The owner advised that he saw media coverage and decided to make sure his ring was in place.  Upon checking, the victim discovered this ring and other jewelry were missing.  The victim was able to provide detailed identifying information engraved on the ring.  The ring belonged to the victim's family member."

Gwinnett County police need your help finding the owner of a ring that may have sentimental value.

This Vietnam Veteran ring was found when GCPD officers searched a room at the Wingate Inn on Venture Boulevard in Duluth. The search was part of a police investigation into an armed robbery on Oct. 7 at Jen's Hallmark at 2100 Riverside Parkway in Lawrenceville. 

During this search, officers found several items from other burglaries across Gwinnett County, unrelated to the Hallmark robbery. 

Investigators were unable to connect the class ring style jewelry to any of the reported burglaries.

They hope to return the ring to the rightful owner. 

The ring is silver-colored with distinct engravings only the owner would be able to describe.
