Georgia Weather Forecast: Fall Feels Like Summer

ATLANTA, GA — Friday marked the first official day of fall. But we won't blame you this weekend in metro Atlanta if you keep acting like it's summertime.

We've got a weather forecast for the next few days that's going to feel like it's mid-August, not just a few days from October. The high temperature each day this weekend is forecast to hit the mid-80s and it's going to be mostly sunny — with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday night and Saturday.

Low temperatures each night are going to be in the upper-60s. So, you may have festivals or other autumnal events to attend, but you can feel safe wearing your shorts and short-sleeves while you do. Here's this weekend's weather forecast for metro Atlanta, from the National Weather Service:

Friday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Saturday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Saturday night, a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. East wind 5 to 10 m.p.h. Mostly clear Sunday night, with a low around 66.
