GEORGIA β A Hall County meat-processing plant is sponsoring a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday with a twist: If you get a shot, you might win free meat for a year.
Pilgrimβs Gainesville and its parent company, JBS USA, are staging βYour Shot at Free Meat for a Yearβ in rural communities where it operates as a means of promoting COVID-19 vaccinations where theyβre needed most. The Gainesville clinic will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Midtown Villages Housing Authority at 854 Davis St.
According to the JBS website, βat least one newly vaccinated participant per location will be eligible to win free, delicious beef, pork and poultry to feed a family of four for the next year.β

JBS also promises to donate more than 1 million pounds of free beef, pork and poultry across the country βto support local communities hosting vaccine clinics.β
To be eligible, you must be 21 or older, unvaccinated and not a JBS employee. Fifty winners will be selected at random across the country between June and the end of August.

JBS has already sponsored clinics in Carrollton, Athens, Douglas, Elberton and Ellijay. One last Georgia clinic is scheduled for Aug. 18, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Chattahoochee Tech in Woodstock.
