Gwinnett Teen Charged By GBI With Second Murder
A Gwinnett teen was already in custody in connection with one shooting death. On Friday, she was charged in connection with a second death.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Gwinnett County teenager already in custody for one murder was arrested Friday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and charged with another murder.
Leslie Garcia-Juarez, 16, of Norcross was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the 2019 death of Osiel Montano, 19, also of Norcross, according to a GBI statement.
Montano’s body had been found in an abandoned apartment at the Spring Lake Apartments on Chase Common Drive in Norcross, a single gunshot wound to his head.

When arrested, Garcia-Juarez was already being held at the state detention center in Gainesville after being charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the death of Adaph Aimable, 22, of Duluth.
In December 2020, Aimable was found with at least one gunshot wound, inside an apartment at The Mattox on Satellite Boulevard. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. According to The Gwinnett Daily Post, police said the said that shooting may have stemmed from a domestic dispute.

The GBI credited the Norcross Police Department, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, the Gwinnett County Police Department, the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and the Gwinnett County Juvenile Court Probation Unit for helping with the investigation.
