Gwinnett's Josiah Siska Cut From 'American Idol'
The Dacula 18-year-old didn't make it through "Hollywood Week" on the Fox singing competition.

DACULA, GA -- Dacula’s Josiah Siska wowed judges with his Johnny Cash-inspired audition but, ultimately, didn’t make it past Hollywood.
The 18-year-old was cut during the Fox singing competition’s “Hollywood Week,” which aired Wednesday and Thursday.
“Yes...I’m so so sorry y’all ... I got cut...but it’s been an AMAZING journey and I want to say thank you to everyone at @AmericanIdol,” Siska tweeted Thursday night, shortly after the show aired.

“To all my fans that have followed me on this journey ... Thank you!!” he continued. “And keep your eyes open for me to bring back THE REAL country music.”
The golf course maintenance worker didn’t receive much air time on Wednesday and Thursday’s episodes of ”American Idol,” which is in its final season.

He had originally won over all three judges with an acoustic version of “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky,” a 1948 country and western standard best known to modern audiences via Johnny Cash’s 1979 recording.
“That’s just cool,” judge Harry Connick Jr. said at the time. “We’ve never heard anything like that.”
