  1. Gwinnett County has broken ground on the Hooper-Renwick library branch. The groundbreaking occurred on Neal Street in Lawrenceville last Wednesday. The new library branch will incorporate the 61-year-old school building. The design will allow visitors to learn about Hooper-Renwick's history while accessing library materials.   2. Gwinnett County's Mill Creek High School is mourning the loss of one of its junior cheerleaders. Caitlyn Pollock died in a car accident on Saturday night. She was a passenger in a car that failed to navigate the entrance ramp onto State Route 316. The vehicle hit a concrete barrier. The driver of the vehicle has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain lane, and first-degree vehicular homicide. (WSBTV)
  3. A Gwinnett County man has been convicted of human trafficking. Demonte Engle pleaded guilty to the charges after an undercover investigation was conducted by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office last year. This is the fourth conviction by the Attorney General's Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit since July. (Office of the Attorney General)
