GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Authorities released an artist's rendering Thursday of what they think a woman whose skull was found last month in Buford may have looked like.

The unidentified human skull was found on April 11 in woods off Hamilton Mill Road in Buford, with no obvious explanation for its presence. At the time, a medical investigator speculated that the skull may have been there for as long as two years.

Since then, a forensic examination has determined that the skull belonged to a Caucasian or mixed-race female 20 to 35 years old, according to a statement from the Gwinnett County Police Department.
