ICYMI: Multiple Arrests Made During Gwinnett Police Sweep
In case you missed it, the multi-agency sweep included around 50 officers from GCPD, GCSO and Georgia Probation and Parole Office.
A police sweep of northern Gwinnett County for suspects with outstanding warrants and probation/parole violations led to more than two dozen arrests.
The multi-agency sweep, conducted in the Gwinnett County Police Department’s North Precinct on Aug. 27, was carried out by around 50 law enforcement officers from GCPD, Gwinnett Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Probation and Parole Office, according to a news release.

Officers swept the North Precinct attempting to execute felony and misdemeanor warrants on known suspects, as well as conduct 55 probation/parole checks.

As a result of this effort, two felony arrests were made for drugs and drug possession, and the Probation and Parole Office obtained 23 felony warrants on persons who have absconded from their reported residences and violated their probation and parole conditions. One subject was found to be in police custody in another jurisdiction.”
GCPD units participating in the sweep included the Gangs Unit, Special Investigations Section, DUI Unit, Aviation Unit, and Community Response Team (CRT) officers from all precincts. GCSO personnel included deputies from the Field Operations Division, including K-9 support and prisoner transport. The Probation and Parole Office provided six field officers.
