Man, 70, Charged With Murder For Riverside Parkway Shooting Death
A 70-year-old Lawrenceville man was charged in connection with the shooting death of Anthony Collins, 44, in unincorporated Gwinnett County.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A 70-year-old man is being held Monday without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail in connection with a shooting death in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
Stanley Elliot was arrested Friday at his Lawrenceville home and charged with felony murder in connection with the death of Anthony Collins, 44, also of Lawrenceville. Collins’ body was found Thursday in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Riverside Parkway.
According to a statement released by the Gwinnett County Police Department before Elliot was arrested, the suspect was known to walk around the area where Collins was found “carrying a pole, stick, or other object.”

In addition to murder, Elliot is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a felony. Investigators said they don’t know of any motive for the murder.
