News Nearby: Woman Reports 'Untimely Death' of Eight Chickens and Two Ducks

Someone or something entered a Statham woman's chicken coop during the early morning hours of Sept. 5 and left a swath of carnage behind.
According to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office incident report, a deputy was dispatched to the Jefferson Road home to investigate the "untimely death of eight chickens and two ducks."
Upon arrival, the deputy notice animal feathers scattered across the front yard and "all over" the chicken coup. The Statham woman said all the animals were fine as of the evening of Sept. 4 and were "all alive and in their coop with the fence tied shut."
