  1. The salary of Tax Commissioner Denise Mitchell has been increased by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. Mitchell's salary has been increased by about $30,000 as compensation for collecting taxes and fees from the county's property owners. The increased salary will be in effect through 2024 when the contract expires. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
  2. The Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K will be held on Oct. 15. This year's course is US Track and Field-certified. Packet pickup will be held at Northside Hospital Gwinnett on Oct. 12 and Oct. 13. Click here for race information and to register today. (City of Dacula)
  3. The Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville will be hosting this year's Hispanic Latino Heritage Month celebration.
