Police Seek Surveillance Of Shooting That Injured Investigator
Detectives are seeking relevant dash camera footage and surveillance video from the area of the shooting, which occurred Friday in Dacula.
DACULA, GA β Authorities are seeking the publicβs help to obtain footage related to a shooting that resulted in the hospitalization of an investigator for the Gwinnett County District Attorneyβs Office, according to police.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Friday in Dacula when the investigator was driving on Auburn Road and was shot by a man operating a silver SUV with damage on the rear passenger side, police said, adding the gunman continued driving after the encounter.
Detectives are requesting relevant dash camera footage and surveillance video from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday along Auburn Road between Braselton and Winder highways, according to police. The shooting happened just before the Old Fountain Road intersection, but the gunman may have traveled toward Dacula Road or Winder Highway, police said.

βDetectives with the Gwinnett County Police Department have been working tirelessly throughout the weekend on the case, trying to identify the shooter,β police said in an update Sunday. βThe investigator with the District Attorneyβs Office is still receiving treatment for his injuries.β
