Restaurant's Permit Suspended for Repeat Violation, Reinstated Following Morning

Golf club scores a 69, middle school scores an 82, fast food restaurant earns a 77 in other recent health inspections.

The health department is tasked with ensuring restaurant compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. The following restaurant scores are the most recent scores posted on theΒ Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale Health Departments websiteΒ as of Nov. 19.Β

Had manager label all food items under time control. Had manager complete time as a public health control documents on-site.   • Violation of Code: [.04(6)(e) ] Manager was cooling taco meat in a covered 4 in. deep pan. Discussed with manager to use more effective cooling methods.   • Violation of Code: [.05(2)(k) ] Digital thermometer was not working. Advised manager to get have a working digital thermometer at all times. Must have at least one digital thermometer on-site at all times that works properly.Β  New Violation.
  • Violation of Code: [.04(4)(u) ] Apples set out for self service were not protected. Manager individually wrapped each apple and put back out for self service. Must protect food on display for self service.Β  Corrected On-Site.Β  Repeat Violation.
  • Violation of Code: [.06(4)(c) ] No air gap on drainline of vegetable sink. Must have a backflow prevention method on the drain line of the vegetable sink. 30 days to repair.
