Here are the top three stories in and around Dacula today:

1. Northside Gwinnett Extended Care, a top-rated nursing home in nearby Lawrenceville, is shutting down. The center's residents and families are now searching for other options. The center will be closed on Oct. 14. Northside Hospital is reportedly trying to transition its 21 residents to other facilities while offering all 70 employees other opportunities within the hospital system. (CBS News)
2. Authorities have released the 911 calls from the Gwinnett County stabbing at a Macy's store. The recordings are from multiple individuals that dialed 911 during the incident. 3. The Gwinnett County Planning Commission has endorsed a unique mixed-use development project. The 2.3 million square foot project would form industrial spaced along 8 warehouses, 766 apartments, 18 townhomes, and thousands of feet of commercial space. The site along Sugarloaf Parkway would be split into segments to accommodate each aspect of the proposed project. (AJC.com)
